해물찜 Haemuljjim
Haemul Jjim is a Korean dish with different kinds of seafood braised and sauteéd in spicy sauce. The menu sometimes includes fish intestine and roe, and due to its unappetizing shape, it is even neglected by some of the local Koreans.

Today, we would like to introduce one of the local restaurants that is designated as a “good restaurant,”, called Daedonga Restaurant. It is not only certified as a good restaurant by Pyeongtaek City but also certified as a “safe restauarant” by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Daedonga Restaurant is famous for its atang (fish roe stew) and dongtae tang (spicy pollack stew). If tangs (stews) sound attractive, you can order one tang per person, and if you would like to try out the jjims (spicy braised dish), you can order one out of three options between dongtae (pollack) jjim, agu (monkfish) jjim, and haemul (seafood) Jjim. They also sell hot pots, which are less runny than tangs.
